seen in the above images the 4 port usb 2.0 hub allows
you to switch from Bus to AC
power
by selecting its respective input power via a push switch
located on the side of the device. The 4 port
usb 2.0 hub also has an AC receptical on the opposite
side of the switch for alternative power when the proper
selection is made.. |
Testing the 4 Port USB 2.0 Hub

The
image to the left is shown with the 4 port usb 2.0 hub
connected to a laptop computer and utilizing two of its
four ports for usb devices. The devices used here were
a usb mouse and a usb to serial cable which was connected
to a modem. A third device connected in testing but not
shown here was an HP photosmart printer using its usb
port connection. Looking at the LED's on the hub you
see the
red LED for power indication and two green LED's on either
side of the 4 port usb 2.0 hub representing the usb mouse
and the usb to serial cable. These LED's Indicate a positive
connection to both power and peripherals. At the time
of testing the 4 port usb 2.0 hub, it was running on
usb bus power. |

The 4 port

usb devices. Basically this device turns one usb port
