Connecting the USB 4 port hub
 |
As
in typical USB connections, the USB cable
from one computer to another should be
connected to the sharing hub first. The
new device will be recognized on each
computer. Click
here for a larger image of the PC
to laptop connection. |
 |
Each computer
will recognize the USB devices
when the USB hub is switched from PC
A to PC B by depressing the center button
or switch. The USB devices will in turn
become part of the computer's peripheral
tools to be used in normal operation.
The LED's, power (yellow), Green (PC
A), and Orange (PC B) are indicated when
the usb buh is in use by either PC. Click
here for a larger image of the LED's. |
 |
In the
testing of the USB 4 port hub a USB mouse,
USB printer, and a USB scanner were connected to
the hub between a PC, and a laptop computer.
Later a USB digital camera was added
to upload the pictures you see here. Click
here for a larger image of the connection. |
 |
The USB
4 port Hub is smaller than a computer
mouse therefore it travels well in the
briefcase or computer bag for use with
other usb devices at different locations. |
USB Hub Testimonial
This is an excellent choice for networking up to four
usb devices between two computers whether they're PC
or laptops, the 4 port usb hub does its job in controlling
which computer is using which usb device. The device
is self powered so there was no reason to carry a bulky
power supply with me when I traveled. Hook up was easy,
You already have the cables you need connected to your
usb printer, usb scanner, or other usb device on your
system and the package itself comes with the two supplied
cables to run from your computers.
This is a great choice if you're looking to share your
usb devices.
