USB 3.2 Gen 1 powered hub with industrial-grade chassis and surface mounting flanges. The CG-U3MINI7PH is a 5V DC input, generation 1 USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub with ESD and Surge protection. This USB 3.2 Gen 1 Hub will support fast charging for Apple and Samsung Galaxy devices. Each port is protected individually to help keep your peripherals safe. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 Hub uses a GL 3510 chip, each port is on an individual circuit to maintain high current and protection. The GL3510 Hub controller chip features native fast-charging and complies with USB-IF battery charging specification rev1.2.

Fast and powerful, but flaky USB hub

The power delivery on this hub is excellent, but the stability is a dealbreaker. It's consistently flaky (stops recognizing attached devices), requiring a hard power cycle about once a week. I actually had to install an additional inline DC barrel power cable adapter just to make these frequent resets less of a chore. I’ve resorted to plugging my backlit keyboard into it solely as a 'heartbeat' monitor—when the lights go out, I know the hub has pooped out and needs a kickstart.

Nice little powered hub. All the connectors are in the right places (USBs on the front, power and source USB in the back). My only critique would be that I would prefer a 12v 3a direct plug in power supply (with a little switcher inside the hub) rather than the 5v 6a brick supply it comes with.

What makes a good product or service? When you install it and you don't even know it's there! This hub has been very painless for my setup, no complaints from Win-doz no apparent slowdowns from my mice/video shuttle and keyboards. I have not tried it with more chatty bus products like Audio Capture or Video Capture, but considering the product is meant for use in industrial applications, I doubt I would see much of an issue.
