4-port USB to RS232 Adapter FTDI FT4232H & ZyWyn

The USB-4X232FTDI is a 4S RS232 to USB2.0 serial adapter cable that is designed for PC, thin client, or server to provide instant COM port expansion via the Universal Serial Bus (USB).

Retail POS terminals at sales counters such as those in banks and grocery stores are essentially a PC in a custom case attached to printers, scanners and displays. Some of the peripherals are integrated into the POS terminal, such as the keyboard, cash drawer, simple pole display and receipt printer. The upstream (USB type B connector) port supports USB2.0 High-Speed mode to prevent from the bottleneck when all serial ports are transferring data simultaneously.
